I always have a problem when I spol new line on my rod, it tangles all up and comes off teh reel when I cast out.
I heard of a few tricks to help keep the memory in the line from doing that.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey Frank
What i do is this. Tie the line to the reel, get a pencil or something samll and long enough to hold the spool, Hold it with your feet, or get someone else to hold it as tight as you can. Then slowly reel it in while holding the line with your index finger against the rod so it always stays tight. This can be a pain in the bass. I understand your points.
Further more when your done put it through the eyes of the rod and attach hook and sinker and you some live bait and the cast
If you need casting instructions just ask lol lol lol ;D ;D

Thanks guys. By the way I dont need casting instructions, smart A S S I did find this though, so this can be another problem. easy solution just put your hole spool in hot water let it sit for about 10 min this will take the memory out, if not it's the way you have put it on your spool the best way without getting to tecnical just put your spool of line in a pail of water then spool it on to your reel spool.

Hey Frank i agree with Dakoda, I wouldn't use it. I think it would weaken the line too, I suggest try using my method first.

I agree with Kim`s method on spooling the reel . another thing you might want to check , is make sure you are not putting to much line on the spool . Just remember if you are not out fishing in the middle of the lake for bottom feeders you dont need 3 miles of line on the reel

Hey Frank, Try putting less line on the reel, It sounds like you may have been putting too much line on.

now there isn't too much line on the reel, as I cant even cast out fully cause there isn't enough line, so screw it, Iam just gonna bring all three of my fishing poles to a shop and get them done.
