14 lbs test on one pole, 12 lbs on another pole and 30 lbs on my third pole, and they are allll having the problem.

make sure you use line that your reel can handle and never to much.that is by far the number 1 issue with line problems.to heavy of a line spooled full on a reel that cant handle it.....always spool it with the manufactures label facing up,thats the way it goes on and should come off to avoid twisting.if your having memory issues,tie it to a post,walk out all your line and give it a light pull/stretch and reel it back in.if you throw alot of spinner/buzz baits,its almost garunteed you will have line twists.i never use snap swivels when using buzz or spinner baits( or at all) but always use the stretch method after a day of fishing with those lures.another option for that is,tie on a barrel swivel and a good 12-16 inch leader or leader material.it will avoid all line twisting and hopefully help save any lures from a hungry "gator"...your line(mono) is designed to have some stretch but dont pull to much or the next time you hook that big fish,the line will just snap!
