Well , I made it home from the derby before Kim and I just want to say it was a total rip off we were there from 7am to 1pm and not even a bite there were about 400 people there and a total of 6 fish caught and of course the $5000 fish was not caught either , Kim and I talked to a few that were at 50 Point a few days before the derby and caught 5 to 6 fish with in 20 minutes , and it was also discovered that park employee`s were there at 4am , obviously the pond was fed so that the fish would not bite , No derby at 50 point will EVER get a recommendation from me and I will be emailing not only 50 Point Conservation but the lions club as well who put on this derby , I am completely pissed off , total waste of time and money , I hope I have better luck monday Pike fishing

I totally agree that derby sucked, Even for the kids, It was very unorganized considering it was the 8th annual, I am surprised that anyone still shows up for this. as you can see from the pics below there was alot of people there, but i too will not be recommending this conservation to anyone, There is no way that it is a stocked pond with "thousands" of trout, I mean there should have been bites all day long, They had to have stuffed them earlier like everyone says: This was to the left of us and you can see the people To the right and lots of kids And infront, That is just half the size of the pond, It amazes me that mysteriously they weren't biting. I too feel i have wasted my 17 bucks, plus the gas to get there...Never again

I didn't go there but I did end up going fishing I caught nothing but I kept getting fish running with my bait just for some reason I couldn't set the hook
