wow , i would love to catch one of thoses babies!, Now a 500 pound sturgeon vs 150 pound asain carp, i say sturgeon may be on top, let's hope so!

......You guys make it sound like there is no Sturgeons around here !....I dont know personaly, but a fellow that I used to know told us tales about fishing for em under bridges up north near Bancroft. Guess it must have been on their migration thingy or something like that, but he told of 6-10 footers. They would bait up a huge hook that was on a steel cable, throw it in at the centre of the bridge, and wait. The other end was fastened to a tree, by the way. He said they caught lots of em that big and went on to tell us about the water fighting to get the beasts up on the shore. Now this is hearsay.....I wasnt there, but he seemed genuin at the time, and treated it lik this was quite normal practise ! No !...I never went along ....remember I like quantity, not quality.....

There is Lots fo sturgeon Up North willie, its just around the Southern Ontario area that they have depleted in.

hi...i hear they catch sturgeon up in blindriver they eat them too i dont eat fish uglyer then me lol

hi...i hear they catch sturgeon up in blindriver they eat them too i dont eat fish uglyer then me lol ........LMAO !......me neither !.....I've never ate one that dosent smell like fresh Salmon either ! If they smell like dead Carp they are not good to eat......will make ya sick....beware !.....hehehehe!.....

When we were at the "derby" last weekend a guy from the M.N.R says that these fish have already been spotted in our waters, That is the first time i have heard this, So if anyone hears anything else please post.
