Ranked #2 on S.O.B. Fishing's New Catch and Kill ListThe Goby is another foreign fish that is invading our waters and is eating all the eggs of our regular fish and spawning several times a year, They gotta go. Clcik the link for more info b.1asphost.com/sobfishing/gobywatch.html Seeing as the Asain Carp topic took off good...What are your thoughts on this.

it's funny about those gobys they need to be stoped but come to think of it I don't recall ever catching one where there is no current? One more thing I forgot to mention and that is this year they are coming out with crankbaits that look like gobys

LMAO @ Dakoda
As for the Goby thing well yeah, they are an invasive species but there heads make GREAT catfish and Bass bait.
And actually Smelt are considered an Invasive species to our waters and they are suppose to be caught and killed also. But we humans eat them, maybe Gobys are good to eat too, anyone ever try?

They are full of Toxics? My point is with the smelt is that they still are an evassive species and teh MNR asks that you kill them also. in which we dont mind cause we eat them, but who was the first person to try eating them?? Maybe I will take it on and try eating a Goby ;D

good luck frank on that one.The gobys get this kind of toxic stuff from eating those zebre mussels.Rember a few years back when those diver ducks kept dying off they did a test on the birds and thats what the mnr stating killed the ducks.

Please not that through-out this conversation it has been said that Gobies are good catfish Baits, But do remember that in the 2005 regulations book it states that the goby is not allowed to be used for bait in any way, So It is a use at own risk bait, Beware that although i have atempted it a couple times that you can be prosecuted...
Thanks
